Today I had my wisdom tooth removed… That was ok but the dental assistant was rude! Told her I’m deathly afraid of dentists and she told me I wasn’t allowed my husband in with me, even though I’d been told he could stay until I was sedated. I told her straight that he stays or I go… Her reply ‘top of the stairs second room on the right!’ She took me for an xray and demanded all my jewellery out to which I replied ‘its plastic’, ‘stalks are not plastic!’ - so I removed my tongue bar and showed her it was and told her all the rest was the same. Left the tongue bar out for the xray but kept the rest in and when I lifted the tongue bar and went to put it back in she told me I’m not allowed, swear this woman contradicted all I’d been told, I tell her I was told I didn’t have to take it out so she responds with the most unreal statement I’ve ever heard ’ the table isn’t sterile!’ (I’d set it on the table while I got my xray) I mean come on! My food aint sterile, I’m sure I’ve put other things in there which aren’t sterile… Anyways I tell her I’m putting it back in it’ll close up so smart arse asks the dental surgeon how long does it take for a piercing to close. I spun right round to her and said ‘it depends how long its been pierced and mine starts to close within minutes’ the dental surgeon actually laughed and told me to put it back in, he was really nice tbh. I don’t understand these people who always have to act like they are the boss of u, had it been the dentist guy ok I’d have backed down but she was giving guff before I even got a chance to talk back.
All went smoothly I have to say, its been about 13hrs and I’m in a lot of pain but other than that its all good :)
